Student winner from WSPTSA Reflections contestCongratulations to Mullenix Ridge Elementary student Chloe Ritter who was one of 27 students named WSPTA Reflections Award Winners for 2018-19. The annual Reflections Program is a Washington State and National PTA cultural arts competition that provides an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works in dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, visual arts and a special artist category.

Mullenix Ridge PTA and the SK PTSA Council advanced Chloe’s photography piece on to the state level where approximately 900 submissions were judged. Chloe earned first place in the photography category for primary (Pre-K through Grade 2) students. This year’s Reflections theme was “Heroes Around Me” and Chloe’s photograph highlights her UKO Karate instructor as one of her heroes. Chloe’s entry will now be sent on to the national PTA competition.

Congratulations Chloe!
